There are paintball tournaments, and then there is Dreux.

Every year, when the NXL Europe season reaches its final stop in France, the atmosphere changes. Teams arrive knowing there is nowhere left to hide, nowhere left to bank points, and no next event to fix a bad Sunday. The 2026 NXL European Championship at Ace Paintball in Dreux delivered exactly what you want from a European finale: huge numbers, international talent, French home pressure, and a Pro final that went all the way to overtime.

And when the paint finally stopped flying, Ranger Warsaw were European champions.

The Polish powerhouse entered the Pro X-Ball competition looking like a team on a mission. Four preliminary matches, four wins. Ranger opened with an explosive 7–1 victory, followed it with a 9–3 result, shut out their third opponent 6–0, then closed prelims with an 8–5 win. A perfect 4–0 record and the number-one seed meant they had already sent a message before the real Sunday started.

But nobody was handing them the trophy.

The 20-team Pro field was packed with European heavyweights, and the knockout rounds immediately turned the temperature up. Ronholt Dynamite edged London Attrition 8–2, while BALLERN. Factory Team beat FiveStar 7–4. In the quarterfinals, Ranger Warsaw survived Ronholt Dynamite, PARIS Camp Carnage defeated BALLERN., Joy Division got past Austin FSU, and LTF knocked out Offenbach Comin at Ya.

That left four.

And this is where the Dreux story really became interesting.

Ranger Warsaw met BALLERN. in the semifinal and came through 7–4. On the other side of the bracket, LTF continued their remarkable run, beating Joy Division 9–7 to earn their place in the final. Two teams remained, and neither had arrived there by accident.

Then came the final.

Ranger Warsaw 8 – 7 LTF, overtime.

Read that score again.

Eight-seven.

Overtime.

That is not a comfortable championship win. That is the kind of final where every point matters, every mistake becomes expensive and the difference between lifting the trophy and walking away second can come down to one final exchange.

Ranger Warsaw ultimately took the title, finishing first with 200 ranking points. LTF earned 186, while Joy Division completed the Pro podium in third and BALLERN. Factory Team finished fourth. French fans still had plenty to celebrate, however, with PARIS Camp Carnage taking fifth place in the Pro division.

And the Pro division was only part of the Dreux story.

The European Championship once again brought together an enormous cross-section of tournament paintball. Alongside the Pro field were WNXL, Semi-Pro and multiple divisional competitions, plus the UPBF national-team championships. The result is one of the rare weekends on the European calendar where you can walk around the venue and see the entire competitive pyramid playing at the same time.

The WNXL title went to Air Force One, ahead of Belladonna and SPOSED Competition. Meanwhile, the UPBF competitions added another layer of international rivalry, with the United States taking the Veterans title after defeating Poland 4–3, while France secured third.

That is what makes Dreux special.

It is not simply the final tournament of the NXL Europe season. It is a collision of generations, countries, divisions and ambitions. Veterans are fighting for national pride. Young players are trying to announce themselves. Semi-Pro teams are hunting promotion. Pro teams are chasing the trophy. And somewhere between the staging areas, vendor tents and fields, the next season is already being imagined.

But for 2026, the headline belongs to Warsaw.

Ranger Warsaw came to Dreux unbeaten, survived the Sunday pressure, and won the European Championship in overtime.

Paintball does not get much better than that.
